External ressources & Various information

Welcome to our “External Resources & Various Information” section, a place for sharing and discovering more about social ecology and communalism. As a workshop for reflection and research, we make it a point of honour to bring together here a variety of resources to enrich reflection and stimulate informed exchange around these fundamental themes.

Social ecology, founded by the thinker Murray Bookchin, is an approach that closely links ecological and social issues. It proposes to rethink our collective organization in harmony with nature, but also to put people back at the heart of local communities. As for communalism, this is a political and social project that aims to establish forms of direct, decentralized self-organization, often through local people’s assemblies. These concepts offer a transformative vision for a more united, ecological and equitable future.

On this page, you’ll find links to articles, reference works, case studies, … as well as resources from other committed collectives and associations. These contents come from a variety of sources: academic publications, press articles, activists’ documents, reports from ecological organizations and actors in the field. We hope that this space will give you a better understanding of the foundations of social ecology and the challenges of communalism, and that it will nourish your own reflections and projects.

Our ambition is to make this workshop a focal point for those who wish to explore new political and social alternatives, and who believe in a world where the values of solidarity and respect for the environment guide our choices. Whether you’re a novice or already committed, this is the place for you.

Don’t hesitate to comment on our publications in the comments area at the end of the article, or on the forum (registration recommended for the latter).
