Communalism from A to Z (or almost)!

A lively, accessible, and collective gateway to social ecology and communalism

Because social ecology and communalism are not just political theories, but propose a way of rethinking society, technology, our social relations, and our relationship with ecosystems from an emancipatory perspective, we wanted to create a simple, educational, and evolving space here. A space that allows us to see—and above all to understand—how we arrive at communalism, how it is embodied in our struggles, our practices, and our imagination, and why it is more relevant than ever.

Designed as an open door for everyone—the curious, sympathizers, new companions on the road— this brand new section, Communalism from A to Z (or almost!), is aimed both at those who are discovering social ecology and communalism and those who wish to deepen their knowledge with a view to popular education and the promotion of an emancipatory movement to break out of capitalism.

Unlike our Social Ecology ABC, which is more thoughtful, theoretical, and sometimes subtly polemical, and which probably requires a more holistic approach for some of us to fully understand, this new section is intended to be more descriptive, didactic, based on concrete examples, with clear references and points of reference for action, which makes it a perfect complement.

Each entry will address a theme, concept, figure, or practice related to communalist thinking and its application, without claiming to be exhaustive, but with the desire to inform, clarify, and encourage engagement in developing a collective intelligence that matches our dreams and ambitions.

And we add “Or almost,” because we know that everything cannot be said in one go, especially since this section is alive: it will evolve just like our “Social Ecology ABC,” with our readings, our experiences, our debates, and your contributions.

Welcome to this collective space for transmission and appropriation, to make communalism not only an idea, but also a shared culture and political practice.
