We interviewed farmers from L’Atelier Paysan, a French cooperative for the self-construction of agricultural equipment, authors of the collective essay Reclaiming the land from the machines. Manifesto for peasant and food autonomy.

L’Atelier Paysan is a technological, political and economic project that develops machines and tools, exchanges knowledge, distributes construction plans under a free license and runs workshops and training courses for the empowerment of French agroecological farmers, training hundreds of people every year.

After many years of struggle they have come to the conclusion that the only way forward is to eliminate the agro-industrial complex, and they are also proposing the creation of a Food Social Security system. A project in favor of militant and small-scale agriculture.
