Emergency situation?

What can we say about the current situation in France, which is similar to what is happening in many other countries, and about its complete blurring of meaning and extraordinary confusion?

Almost everything is false in the sad spectacle currently being offered to us. To want to take part in it is to lend credence to some form of lie, to participate in its prolongation ad nauseam, to fall into the trap of representations that are alien to us and above all to renounce what truly gives meaning to our actions.

We are communalists, which means, among other things, that we consider what is called representative democracy to be nothing more than a confiscation of democracy for the benefit of the continuity of a hierarchical system of domination and exploitation governed by political economy.

In other words, governed by the commodification of people and of living things, where those who populate the territories therefore always remain a negligible quantity.

And that is the root of the problem, not the different names given by the governments that have succeeded one another for decades and which, apart from a few details, have ultimately pursued the same policies determined by the logic of the globalized market, in other words by capitalism. With the results that we see all around us.

That is why everything is a sham in what we are being presented with and shown.

The elections are just a diversion concealing the simple attempt to seize power by people who, once in place, will in turn put themselves at the service of the political economy and its logic of destroying everything that gives meaning to life on Earth. They are the moment when we give our consent to those very people who deprive us of the power to act on our common destiny.

Are there lies that are less bad than others, and would that justify renouncing what constitutes us? Some people talk about an emergency situation that would require us to put our deepest convictions on the line; what a joke, we have been in a situation of emergency for quite some time now and the organizational form of the present society demonstrates its absurdity, its ignominy and its death wish on a daily basis.

As communists and internationalists, we are in favor of abolishing all the political parties that also only sow division and always make the worst compromises simply to hold on to their positions. One would have to be very naive to believe that these people will give up their advantages to make way for a genuine democracy; a democracy that will only show its true face through the establishment of grassroots assemblies operating in direct democracy.

But in our panic, we would like to give them a little nudge! Why? For the lesser of two evils, which would only prolong a situation from which we could believe ourselves temporarily safe. Or in the name of a superficial humanism that has not saved much for a long time.

So that would be behaving responsibly?

The conditions for the essential overcoming of the current catastrophe lie elsewhere and in opposition to the continuation of this pathetic spectacle.

Everywhere, in all areas and at the grassroots, the conditions for a lively and widespread dialogue must be established, opening the door to a collective intelligence that alone will enable us to escape the spiral of disaster to which the deadly logic of capitalism condemns us.

This is where the urgency lies.

Now, as communalists, it is not in our practices to dictate our choices to anyone, and we fully recognize the freedom of each and every one of us to decide individually what to do, or not to do. Of wich act.
