The very essence of the communalist project, for anyone contemplating giving it historical consistency, is (and it’s strange, to say the least, to have to repeat it again) in total contradiction with this kind of approach.

You’d have to have a thick layer of false consciousness to allow yourself to be in any way embroiled in this kind of illusion taking place, and this is undoubtedly the most distressing, in the name of a shoddy “realism”. Communalism will certainly not be achieved by turning one’s back on what gives it meaning. At all times, ideologues claiming to be realistic and efficient have in fact ruined the historical chances of ending domination, while waving the flag of what they were practically betraying. Historical examples of the catastrophic effects of this phenomenon are legion, and only a heavy ignorance can justify forgetting and concealing them. This ignorance, it has to be said, is not excusable for anyone who claims to want to do away with capitalism and the societal mechanisms that allow it to stay in place and strengthen itself against all odds – including its fictional democracy. A not irrelevant French author (Georges Darien) once remarked that even imbeciles learn from experience, but that some were apparently not imbeciles because experience did not teach them…

Could this be due to a generational effect, whereby our poor humanity is reduced to a goldfish’s memory, with the result that each new generation repeats the same mistakes as the previous ones? We can’t believe it, since some of the individuals concerned by this Bewilderment also present themselves as historians.

Nevertheless, we will not hesitate to publicly denounce this gross lie wherever necessary.
